Richard Blair

Richard Blair is the Founder and CEO of The Inside Counsel, a global law firm and legal management consultancy based in Dubai. The Inside Counsel is a legal consultancy for Industry. Richard has over 23 years of international legal experience in-house at BP plc, BG Group, Harsco Corporation (NYSE) and Gulftainer in the UAE, latterly as Group General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. He trained at Herbert Smith in London and Gomez Acebo y Pombo in Madrid and is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales, Abogado in Spain and licensed legal consultant in the United Arab Emirates. Richard has worked in every continent and offers pragmatic legal advice across the whole spectrum of commercial and corporate law especially in developing markets in English and Spanish. Richard also worked in law firms in London and Gibraltar prior to University and then built in 1993 and sold in 2007 a disruptive legal advocacy business for young barristers whilst at Kings College London and appeared in the National UK Newspapers as a legal entrepreneur.
