Conflict of Interest
Our journey at 4cLegal Academy is coming to an end. Today our five finalists will face their last challenge before the Final when they will play for the title of Legal Talent of the Year.
Today’s first lesson will be taught by Mr. Carlo Alberto Giovanardi, Managing Partner at Giovanardi Studio Legale, who will give them an overview on conflict of interest within a corporate and then present a very complex legal case. The winner of this test will have a competitive advantage in the afternoon test. IBM Legal Department will be waiting for them in classroom: in particular, Ms. Alessandra Bini, Head of IBM Italy Legal Department, Ms. Giorgia Simonetti, Legal Counsel Cloud and Cognitive, Ms. Scewit Ghebreweld, Attorney, and Mr. Alessandro Luca Bianchi, Senior Counsel. The test they will administer is inspired to an actual case they dealt with regarding a contract on data intelligence services between two companies, which IBM took over. Our would-be legal talents, supported by their teachers, will wear the shoes of IBM’s lawyers in the negotiation of such contract.
Who will win the semifinal?
