The jurist and business
We are entering the final stages of 4cLegal Academy. In this episode, our five finalists will be given a lesson on business development by two industry experts: Ms. Roberta De Matteo, BD & Communication Senior Country Director Orrick, and Isabella Fusillo, Partner of Gruppo Stratego. After learning the basics of a subject they never explored during their university years, our young jurists will engage in a strategic development plan: in twenty minutes, they will have to define 1. Value proposition, 2. Five key points of their business development strategy and 3. A summary chart of a business plan. The one who stands out in this first test will have an important competitive advantage in the afternoon test, which will be administered by Mr. Gian Battista Lazzarino, Strategy & Innovation Manager at BIP. He will submit them a case study where it will be necessary to think as an entrepreneur more than as a lawyer. His test deals with corporate venture building, an organizational model through which a startup is founded, and will require the finalists to highlight the legal elements one has to focus on for the project to be carried out.
