A new business model
The season finale is approaching and new challenges await our wannabe Legal Talents of the Year. The day starts with a major international law firm: Squire Patton Boggs, represented by its partner Sara Belotti. After a lesson about international joint ventures, Belotti introduces a concrete case study. An Italian company wants to produce mini refrigerators in India and decides to do it with a local company. The finalists have to represent the two companies and negotiate the most adequate form for the JV.
They will fly back to Italy for the next test, which will be administered by an important business association representing Olivetti’s entrepreneurial vision: Il Quinto Ampliamento. Vice President Alberto Zambolin will take a case study to 4cLegal Academy that deals with sustainability. The test will be about modifying the bylaws of a tanning company so that it become a benefit corporation, thus meeting the local community needs and fulfilling the requests of environmental rights activists. Who will win?
